Super happy with the Microraptor kit, both the soft case and hard case use the same foam so you can travel with both very easily. I use the hardcase for the bird while in transit and use the soft bag for my pers items...once I get situated in a hotel room I take my pers items our of the soft bag and transfer the bird/foam into the soft case for day excursions....<edit> Friendly FYI, do not to check batteries into air cargo while flying, most regulations require you to carry on batteries. www.microraptorcases.com http://microraptorcases.com/prod ... antom-4-bundle-pack
I was so disappointed in the DJI backpack case I sent it back.
Previous DJI hardshell backpacks had an interior padding that encased the aircraft and transferred pressure around the aircraft rather than onto it.
The current one for P4 has soft panels and the aircraft motors sit proud of the padding and thus transfers pressure on the external backpack directly to the motors and airframe.
sysalam there are quite a few threads on this in the forum (if you can find them, the index isn't great). Have a look at https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=160131
As usual comes down to preferences such as whether you want to carry (hike) or transport (vehicle); whether you want to leave props on or off in the pack. Also see if there's room for the monitoring device (slot for iPad etc).
Last look at dollars and be assured that when you finally settle on a case you'll always find a cheaper one after you purchase
