I beleive you can plug it up to your computer and launch DJI Assistant 2. Can anybody back me up on this?

Found the answer HealthyDrone's website

Android users plug your tablet via USB cable to your PC and access it like a USB drive.
The files are in the folder "DJI/dji.pilot/FlightRecord".
iOS users Here is a helpful video explaining how to get these.
As explained in the video - you need the "FlightRecords" folder and not the "Logs" folder.


EDIT: Looksl like it would be easier to just plug up your drone to your computer and launch DJI Assistant 2.

I've never needed to pull a DAT file from my bird. You are correct about them being stored on the P3 itself. But I'm not sure about the P4. I would try and hook your bird up to DJI Assistant and see what kind of logs it pulls up.

are we talking about the same type of file,
I am looking for the DAT file , in P3 they are stored  ...

The P4 DAT files are stored on the flight data recorder in the aircraft (same as P3,Inspire)
With the P4, they are accessible from the Assistant2 software.

I do believe it's a bit different on the P4. But I'm not sure of the differences. I'd check for you but I'm not at home at the moment.

The P3 you point the cam ...

yes this is correct. I did a successful compass calibration after my FW upgrade last night on my P4. You now turn the aircraft sideways (or whatever is prompted on the screen).
