Now the SD card will not take the new up date...

If the micro sd card has been formatted in the drone, it should be easy to copy and paste the bin file into the root of the sd card.

There must be something else stopping the process.

BRB I'm going to buy a new SD card...

Ever since I did the new update today the remote controller has just not worked.
if you turn the controller on after 30 seconds it starts beeping and will continue untill it turns itself off.
it wont connect at all with my P3P and after playing with it for a while I finnally got an error message.
it says battery not connected properly, this must be in the controller because it wont connect with my P3P.
every time I do an update per directions there is a problem and this time it is stupid I should have never done the update.

2nd step?

Ok now load that new Firmware with the Bin File Only .  Make sure of this fact.

Once loaded, install SD card into the Aircraft Then fire it up.  

20 minutes or so the D-dd D-dd should sound.  Look at the light on Gimbal.  Should be solid green  .

Then check for success on the "SD card

Jlcase, did you read my tips page ? Do you have the Transmitter on while updating the aircraft?  I sure hope not .
Can you tell what version on the about page you have loaded?  

Looking for
2.71 for go app or 2.72 with android
1.8 for the aircraft and camera
1.6 for the Transmitter

RHP, I sure hope not .  He is updating with a mac and had more than just the Bin file on it when he tried to update.  also he is getting a" timed out " warning when he tries to format on the aircraft.  I have never seen that one before.  Do you use a MAC ?  if so maybe you can guide him.  I hate Macs for downloads.  always a problem  .

The aircraft wont take the update ?   or the Mac wont download the bin file ?

Damn..it finally did it for some reason. Got the bin file on the SD card loading on the aircraft... installed and fired up aircraft. Still have loud beep. Its sounds like it loading. hard to hear over loud beeping thought.

What color are the lights flashing on the AC , are they red and green ?  does the tone have a bit of a beat to it? like eeee -eeee-eeee-eeee-eeee-eeee-eeee-eeee  or is solideeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The lights are more important than sound , and the result file trumps both.   Give it some time up to an hour.  Look for a solid green light , this will indicate finished.  then we can check log.

Yes the beep has a beat. Ok it stopped the beeping from hell as well! The gimble indicator is still blinking green/ red. The aircraft is making some noises(internal noise) and the gimbal is now solid green.

You are almost  golden  now.  Make sure that you check the sd card for success.  Also  you can look at the go app about page and make sure it is 1.8  .  

the tone will be d-dd d-dd d-dd d-dd d-dd d-dd d-dd d-dd amd solid green light means done

Actually this is the point I was at when i tied to update the fw the 1st time. D-DD D-DD D-DD and the gimbal is solid green now. can I shut it off? I'm scared LOL

That is about the right amount of time to 15- 20 min  for the average update.

Borrow a friends pc in the future or make a Note of EXACTLY what you did with the MAC because this should be  a 1-2-3-4 procedure and you are done.

Phantom Standard flew just fine yesterday and today said we needed to update the firmware. We started the update and got to 40% and is got stuck so turned it off even though it said not to....oops.  Tried it again a little while later and it got to 60% and got stuck and turned it off again...no patience I guess.  Now it just beeps loudly.  Just formatted the SD card and still beeps.  Need some help.  PLEASE!!!

That should already be done, I thought you said that was done ?  It should be a t 1.6

check the about page of go app with ALL on , like about to fly

it was all working great before I did the update. I flew it this morning all good now it does not see the drone at all and just continues to beep.

Remeber Phantom standard is NOT updated through sd card .  It is Wi-FI only.  Make sure you have a solid Internet Wi FI signal and try again.. I  am only expert at advanced Pro and Inspire,  I am sorry .  Do not use cell system for downloads !!!

Keep in mind if it has low battery it will beep and if the sticks are not moved it will beep after  about 4 min.  

If you want my help please answer all my questions please,  did the update go ok  on the Aircraft ?  What version did you jump from 1.7 to 1.8 ?  Was the transmitter on when you updated the aircraft ?

Is the transmitter charged right Now ? if so how much ?

In the future do not have the aircraft on when updating the transmitter  and DEFINITLEY  do not have the transmitter or when updating the aircraft, this can cause damage to the Video Transmission Board.

Also did you update the RC  through the go app?  or did you use another method ?

I went from 1.7 to 1.8 because I was flying and it came on the screen I needed to update. the controller was the only thing on when I did the update from wifi. it gave all indications as being done, battery was just charged this morning.
The update on the aircraft went perfect as far as I know, havent been able to fly it yet. the transmitter was not on when I updated the aircraft.
when I turn the transmitter on all four lights lite up.

I used the go app

I just turned on the controller red light no sound for 30 seconds then red light starts blinking and the beeping starts.

Ok , so when you did the update to the RC on the go app did it go to the end and say success ?  

The beeping could just be low battery on the RC or if the RC sits for a few minutes it will beep .

can you go to the about page with everything on and read me what it says for each version
example does it say 1.6 for RC and 1.8 for Aircraft and camera and 2.71 for go app.

also very important when you turn on EVERYTHING like about to fly what color is the Transmitter light
is ist red or green.  It should be green if hooked up to the aircraft.

I just dont want to start re loading FW if we dont need to.

I wonder if you give the RC a solid charge of 8 hours, your problem of beeping will go away.  

if you have 1.6 on the RC and 1.8 for the AC and camera and 2.71 for go app.  That will be my recommendation, charge the transmitter battery.

yes it said success
controller indicates 4 white lights full battery
cant get to the about page (wont open)
transmitter light is only red wont connect to aircraft
