I have loaded the latest firmware for my P3A.   When I connect to my mini iPad2 to I get the camera view.  However  when I try to connect with my iPhone 6s I get nothing.  No signal. I've tried new lightening cables, reloaded FW on everything, deleted DGI App and reinstalled, erased Iphone thru Itunes and restored.  Still cannot connect.  I get  "How to Connect" but no Camera.  I can connect with my Iphone 5.  So what's up?  Is there no solution?  Should DJI just come out and say "Iphone 6s is not compatible??  This is ridiculous.

Are you actually able to connect with your iPhone? Or is it when you connect, that there is data or camera view on the screen?

Hello pilot310 , I'd suggest you to change other original apple lightning cables again. If your ipad mini 2 work well with all the cables but your 6s doesn't , give it a try to reset your 6s to factory via iTunes .

I have the same issue here. Support was no help, although I've pinpointed a few things... All of this happened after I updated the RC today to 1.6 and the Aircraft to 1.8.80. All has been verified to be installed correctly.

I think all iPhone 6s models are affected

My iPhone 6s is on 9.3.1
My iPad Air and iPad Pro both work fine with the DJI Go app with 9.3.1. However, my iPhone will continually display the "how to connect" button instead of camera.

Restoring the iPhone 6s
I did this and it didn't help at all. Don't try it. It's a waste of time.

I think there's some odd incompatibility with the 6s (and perhaps other devices) since 9.3.1 runs fine on 2 other devices.

Has anyone figured out a way to fix this connection issue with the DJI GO app?

I have the problem too. My iPhone 6s won't actually connect at all to get to the camera view. It doesn't have the "Camera" button below the device in the Go app, just a link that says "How to connect" showing you how to turn on the aircraft, remote and then plug the device in.

I posted about this problem a month ago but nobody was listening or gave stupid tips. However i have the IPad Air2 and the IPhone6+ and both just tell me "how to connect", has nothing to do with the newest FW.  I thought its because of an old FW Version in my remote controller thats why i sended the remote controller in for update and checking the USB Port, it should arrive tomorrow. I will see if that fixed the problem or not. I even tested an android version without success but at least the android device was charged in this case. I think DJI has a problem with programming to the correct IOS versions. I had the latest IOS version and the latest APP version and the latest Phantom FW, only the remote controller FW was old but for updating i needed the app and it always showed "how to connect".

Interesting fact here, i also did not used the Phantom since September, maybe DJI blocks Phantoms that arent used for lets say 6 months or so and you have to re register? The thing is i wanna sell it as fast as possible and i hope i can de register it because if the new owner crashes the thing i am still the registered owner, lets see if you can de register it.

Here is my post about that problem

I have the same as @schulzcass: DJI Go 2.7.1 and iOS 9.3.1.

9.3.1 works fine with the Go app on my iPad Air and iPad Pro, but it's just the iPhone 6s that won't work. (Also erased it and set it up as new and it still didn't work. And also deleted and reinstalled the Go app multiple times).

PS: The secret menu (holding down the Academy for 10 seconds or more and releasing) shows the RC firmware version when connecting the iPads. With the 6s, it shows Not Connected.

As said above, are you signed into the app itself? Maybe that has something to do with it. What exactly can you access through the app?

Ok. Thanks. I'll try that.

I can confirm that resetting your phone to factory settings will not solve your issue. I had the same issue as well as many others connecting specifically an iPhone 6s without success.  DJI just updated the go app and I'm hoping that solves the issue. There some bug somewhere either with the firmware or a combination of the firmware and the app but it don't allow it to work.

If the iPad works on the same cable, it's not the cable. I feel like that's the default response from anyone.

That's strange because when my friends use iPhone 6s with 9.3.1,everything works fine. please try to upgrade the app to 2.7.2. And I'll try to report this to our developing team.

Hi, I had the same problems with the app,
I doubt this will help as you have already said you have done it through iTunes but ,

The only way I could get the blue camera button option back on the app was to connect my apple device to iTunes via PC and then backed up the device (forgot this the first time and lost all my old flight data)  then restore the device using iTunes. If I tried doing a restore via WiFi using the device itself without iTunes it wouldn't work.
Once you have restored the device (connected via cable to PC running iTunes) reload the Go app back on and and then disconnect the cable from the PC, turn off the device and then turn it back on. relaunch the Go app and hopefully you should get the camera button option again.
I have another problem with no camera feed, and its going back to Hong Kong apparently.
I'm so over DJI at the moment, great thing when there working , pain in the arse when there not.
Good luck hope that made some sense.

FYI. My iPhone 5 works fine. My iPhone 6s+ Will connect at beginning and then disconnect after about 3 minutes. I tried cables, restore , reloads of app etc.. Support says don't use iPhone 6S+. Got a new iPad Air ( old iPad didn't have cellular data).
Works perfectly every time.

Try going through all of your settings thouroughly one at a time. Do you have the latest updates installed on the Phantom and the iPhone? Something isn't letting you sync. By chance do you know of anyone that is using the exact same setup that you could sit down and compare item for item with?
