What's the easiest way to upload and edit pictures and videos from my Phantom 3?

The preferred way is to remove the Micro SD card from the aircraft, place it in an adapter and copy it to your computer. Whether you have a Mac or a PC, you will need a fairly capable computer to handle the higher resolution modes. You don't say what model Phantom you have, but if it shoots in 4K, do not necessarily expect your computer to be able to handle it.

I have the P3A and P4..  I shoot in 1080 because I don't own anything that plays in 4k..  I don't think youtube supports 4k uploads yet either, right?

I tried to do that on my smartphone but it didn't recognize the video.  Weird.  I have a Samsung S5. Never experienced that problem from SD card to phone from my GoPro

Youtube does do 4K, but you might have to pay for it. An S5 is a pretty good device, but you really want to do any work on a computer. The apps for dealing with video are not great for phones, there are much better applications available for computers.

It depends upon your computer platform, Mac or PC? There are a few cheap, even free, applications out there, and even more that you pay for.

OK, then you can use the free GoPro Studio application, download it from their web site. Also Wondershare Filmora: http://www.wondershare.net/ad/vi ... XjMwCFYmCvQodDfQBpA or if you want the best colourgrading software, then Blackmagic Resolve. Resolve is harder to learn, but extremely capable.

Is DJI GO something you can get on your computer as well?  Or just on your phone?  I've been using the app do make little videos and I find the editing tool super easy to use.  But being able to work on it via my computer would be much easier.
