Was it difficult getting a flight permit?

"Companies using commercial drones up to 5 kilogrammes must apply for a flight permit from the relevant federal state authority (§ 16(1) no. 7 LuftVO)."

And how did you deal with a safety case to them of the added risk of using a non redundant quad in/over a heavy populated area?

Yes we have a flight permit and furthermore an insurance. Than we try to avoid areas with heavy population. So starting our works at 7:00 am sundays for example. It is never completely ruled out that something happening. For sure, hexa and octo-copters are redundant in its rotors, but if the battery fails you will get the same problems. It is always a balance act to get the footage and avoid anything that can fail.

And I have a question according your permission.
I am just wondering about the fact that you flew over a public road with full traffic. Every permission that I have seen so far has a full catalogue of what is not allowed and by default flying over public roads is always forbidden.
Are you aware of the risk, that you where practically flying without the backup of your insurance company, as they will only pay, if you stick to the legal rules?

Sorry.. I dont want to spoil the fun. I just want to know..

I think you two ask very valuable questions, that's why we all are here in this forum.
In summary this isn't a heavy populated area, especially because we were there at 07:00 pm, so no tourists at this time (as you can see). Second, before and after this place, there're some traffic lights. We had to play with the periods of red lights, you know? ;)

Used the Olympus 12mm and 45mm lenses.
