Hello, I am pretty new to the DJI Phantom 3 advanced yet have watched many tutorials. For some reason, when I get to about 150+ meters distance, my RC signal will become very weak and will loose connection almost every time. The phantom has firmware 1.8.80 and I believe the controller has firmware 1.6 (which was the only available one on the DJI GO app because using a thumbdrive wasn't working).

Anyone have any advice or reasons why this might be happeneing?

Also, am I supposed to let the Phantom warm up before each flight? If so, how?

You must update the RC via the go app the version of the go app is 2.7.2 android and iOS .. Your bird is version 1.08.0080 .. RC is version 1.6.0

There is no option in the app to let me update it. It just keeps me at 1.6

the bird will warm up as necessary. Won't let u leave the ground until ready

The latest fw for RC is 1.6.0. And the drone‘s latest fw is 1.8.They are different.

A lot of people (including me) are having the same issue w/ video signal distance. I also have the advanced p3. I firmly believe it is due to the latest version of the GO app. 1000 feet w/ GO app and I lose signal..Litchii I went 2500 feet still had 95% RC signal at 350ft up and no video loss. I get much greater video distance and RC distance w/ the litchi app.  I like the DJI GO app better for it's features but for now I will stay w/ the litchi app.

I am having the exact same problem with my pro model  Most disappointing regarding the signal distance When I first updated everything I could not get any signal at all but after unistalling latest go pro app and reinstalling earlier version have now got flight back but only out to 1000 mtrs
DJI get it right or lose the reputation of a previously good product
