Hi folks, just wondering if DJI can tell me what's the best Memory Card I should buy for my Osmo? I got a Lexar 633x 16GB Micro SD Class 1 card with the camera but is it safe to buy a bigger card for this? Say a 32GB or 64GB? If so does it still need to be Class 1 or do I need to look out for something specific given the 4K Capability?

Thanks

Hi there ,

Osmo will take a 64GB card , i think which brand is down to personal choice .

Hope that helps

Hi jp, as far as I know for the Micro SD, Max. Capacity: 64 GB,Class 10 or UHS-1, and I found using a good 'known name brand' (lexar, SanDisk etc) card works a lot better than a 'no name' brand card, with the same specs

If you purchase an Osmo, you will receive an included Lexar 633x SDHC 16GB UHC-1 card.
When you say "Class 1" you might mean "UHC-1". So it will work (it seems be the exact same one) perfect, but 16GB is way to less if you want to shoot 4k.
Edit:
It seems like Class10/UHC-1 is needed for most 4k cameras.

Hello! We would recommend below SD cards:

1)        Lexar 633X Class10 16GB MicroSDHC UHS-I SD card;
2)        Panasonic 16GB MicroSDHC UHS-3 SD card;
3)        Sandisk Extreme 16GB MicroSDHC UHS-3 SD card.

Supported SD Cards: Micro SD; Max. Capacity: 64 GB; Class 10 or UHS-1 (For more information about the specification, please refer to http://www.dji.com/product/osmo/info#specs)

I found this helpful
https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/choices/speed_class/index.html

At minimum I would use a card that's U1/V10 (10MB/sec), but my next card will be U3/V30 (30mb/sec)Class 10 / USH-1 per DJI's recommendations
Also some cards recommend them for 4k action camera's (i.e. GoPro) and should also be suitable for osmo/phantom.
I'm personally using Sandisk microsd cards.
