This DJI tutorial shows the main mounting point on the handle mounted directy to a 3rd party ball head plate.

Anyone know what setup this is? I'm sure it would be much cheaper option than extension arm + universal mount + 1/4 mounting adaptor.

This is not 3rd Party. It is the Extension Rod and the Tripod form DJI for the OSMO.
Edit:
The Extension Rod is screwed directly to the rosette mount. You don't need the Universal Mount nor 1/4 mounting adaptor.

Thanks, my mistake.

I'm guessing they don't sell the ball head by itself. That should give me a decent shot to mount directly to an existing tripod or gorilla pod.
