I've been flying DJI Phantom 3 Pro, Inspire 1 and Phantom 4 equipment for a little over a year now (since March 4, 2015) and I achieved a major milestone this past weekend - 3,000,000 Feet Total Distance as reported in the DJI GO app Flight Records. That's 43.5 hours of Total Flight Time and 244 Total Flights.  

Of course, I've only been flying the P4 since release day (March 18, 2016) and have 37 flights and 600,000 feet Total Distance on the P4 in a little less than 7 hours total flight time.

I have thoroughly enjoyed flying all three of my DJI quadcopters and gaining a new appreciation of the beautiful world we live in through the aerial video and photography that I have shot with my three quads.

I have had only one crash, due to operator error, and, unfortunately, it was with my most expensive aircraft - the Inspire 1 - a year ago. DJI service center in CA repaired it for a reasonable cost, and I have been flying it and my other two aircraft without major incident ever since.

Well - I did manage to run my P4 into the ground on my third day of flying it (during low level flight testing), but escaped with zero damage to the aircraft - just one broken prop. Did you know the P4 can do multiple forward rolls inches off the ground??  I don't really recommend trying that particular acrobatic maneuver. But I am impressed that the P4 flight control software/hardware was able to regain stable flight in that dramatic situation and land gently even though one prop was damaged.

Has anyone achieved 4,000,000 feet or more of Total Flight Distance on their DJI aircraft to date?

Hey David you must fly a lot faster than I do.  In 11 months I've done 2,030,785 ft with 59hrs air time in 357 flights on my P3P.  Only broken a few props.

Thanks, Paladin.  Can you please comment on the "Growth of Value" metric and the "level number" that appears below it on the upper left of the Flight Record page?  How are these calculated, how many experience "levels' are there?

My current "Growth of Value" is 1,990,088 and I am LV35.  Initially, the yellow progress bar for LV35 was all the way to the right, then, a few days later (after the latest DJI GO app update) the bar for LV35 is only about 30%.

Also, 24 of my 244 flights are in a category called "Recovered Record."  I assume these are flights that the DJI GO app couldn't determine what aircraft I was flying at the time.  What would cause that? I've had only 1 crash where a battery popped out - a year ago - and only 1 or 2 flights where I filled the microSD memory card during flight.

Yes - about a fourth of my flights are long-distance flights with the aircraft near max. velocity in P-Mode for nearly the entire flight. For the P4 - that's 38 mph (with obstacle avoidance turned OFF).

I agree - in fact, I prefer flying my P4 over my Inspire 1 in many situations because it is smaller, nearly as fast when I need it to be, nearly as stable in high winds, and has useful features, such as ActiveTrack, that my Inspire lacks.

Yea im at your same numbers on the Phantom 4 as well. I have over 50 flights, there were just quite a few where i just needed a specific shot (ie. 2-4 min flights) but im about to hit 7 hours FT. Unfortunately I'm on vacation in Washington D.C. for the next two days, and if people dont know, its impossible for Android users to fly the P4 in DC right now. The planes all fly super low all the cool stuff you would film with it anyways (basically any monument) so even if I did have iOS I still wouldnt be able to film this stuff (in comes the Canon)

The value is proportional to total flight time and distance.

Good for you. You will find yourself flying the P4 quite often It is very responsive and agile. Truly an enjoyable experience.
