Hi All

After taking some still pictures with the Phantom2 V2, H3-3D gimbal and GoPro Hero3 Silver combo, it seems that more resolution is needed for some wading bird images that I want to take.

I can use the GoPro for video, but any suggestions for a camera that can take images and store them in a non-compressed format - yet is light enought to sit under a Phantom - would be much appreciated.

You won't be able to use the gimbal with most all of them.

My suggestions are the following.....
At the low end, a Canon S100 or similar (s95, s110). They shoot raw and have a bigger sensor than most point and shoots. If you dig around and are patient, Canon will often have them on special as refurb with full warranty....

Sometimes they are as low as $129, etc......

You have to install CHDK software (open source) which allows it to do interval shooting. You will not have FPV without some work!

At the higher end, the Ricoh GR - $600 for a very large sensor camera with top notch lens.

Both are about 200 grams - easy to lift when the gimbal is removed.

The vision+ camera shoots in raw.
