Hello folks. I need some help please!

I tried to update the I1 Raw to v01.08.01.20  today and I am stuck right now with a permanent update failure..  

When I started the following versions were shown in the app:
App 2.8.0
Aircraft 1.4.00.10+
RC 1.5.70
Camera 1.8.0.70
A9 Plus  01.15.13.09

I downloaded the fw .bin from tims source above to sd card. The update  process took about 5-7min.  and ended with the backlight still flashing  yellow and a constant hum.. I waited some more minutes to be sure. The  txt file reads update failure..  I tried a couple of times, downloaded  the fw new, tried another card reader, tried windows instead of mac.
I read in the forum that it might be bad to over jump a fw version, so I  tried v1.8.1.00.. same report: failure..  tried again 01.08.01.20 no  change.. txt still reports failure.

BUT when I check in the app now it reads:
App 2.8.0
Aircraft 1.8.01.00  not 1.8.01.20
RC 1.5.70
Camera 1.8.0.90
A9 Plus  01.15.13.09

I havent updatet the RC yet..  The Aircraft boots up normal and connects to RC and App.. Seems all normal, but I fear, that the update is not correct done and that this might cause trouble...


Some questions:
- is it possible to downgrade the Aircraft via SD, or in another way, like it is possible to downgrade the RC via the app??
- Did I miss to upgrade to a firmware version inbetween ? Is the a full version history online?
- Why are there different firmware versions online depending on wich  language I browse the Dji site? german site has only Firmware  v01.08.00.90.. and no recent cinelight files at all !!!
- shall I ignore the txt file on the card and go out and do my maden flight?
- Any other idea?

If you updated from the Pro page, all you have to do now is update the RC to 1.6 from the app are you will be good to go.
Here's the update page. Update the RC then look at the About page to see what all the version say.

seems working... but my only concern is, that I have never got the message "success" in the txt file. Every time it said "failure - please reboot and try again" Is it safe to fly now?

Yes.. I understand the meaning of this sentence..  at least now..
but still my question: is it safe to fly now, when the txt file after update reads:

Hi again.. Here you go..

Now after rebooting I cant see the picture of the camera any more.. Thats new. It was working perfect after the update of the RCs.
I still can steer the camera in all parameters and I can record footage, but I cant see the image on the iPad. The HD signal icon shows full signal, but on top left it says "No Signal" and "Bad Transmission" now...  tried several boot ups.. different locations..  What does this mean? Is this a known firmware issue..?

Please post the the log located @ x:\misc\log\logname (sd card)
(please make sure you enable hidden files and folders in you computers OS)

I am sorry.. I can not post the log.
I was not aware of hidden log files and formatted the sd card due to some testing and recording..
I tried to recover the files now, but they are gone..

Thank you for the hint.. next time I know better..

I Happen to write a little post regarding that, ( How to view hiddden files )  Just place the SD card back in and try to load it again, afterwards post the hidden file .

Thank you.. I did unhide the files on my mac but the log folder is empty, because I formatted the sd earlier today  and even my atempt to get it back with recovery software did not succeed...

Do you think I should try to roll back on the firmware and do the upgrade again?

Is there something like a history list of all former firmware versions?  I came from Aircraft 1.4.00.10+ and I am not sure if I have skipped a version by going to v01.08.01.20..

After three days looking for answers I finally discovered it was a hardware issue!
There was a loose contact somewhere between the Ac and the gimbal. When I tilted the aircraft up I had picture and it was gone again when I put the aircraft back on the ground.

When I took a closer look I saw this:

hard to see.. but isnt there something shimmering?

look here.. ups.. soupe surprise!

An ultra thin blank copper wire was glued into the cable pack that connects aircraft and gimbal. It was causing a loose contact over two or more cables of the plug..

After removing the "hair in my soup" everything now works constantly great.
No sinal lost, and the firmware update gave a positive reply on the log file..

Hello DJI:
If you want to improve on quality I am happy to send in the "hair" for a DNA test..
