ok don't understand is the external battery extender for mains power only or is there a USB on the other end ??

i don't have a drone batt not really thinking of getting one

It will either run off a drone battery (with the corresponding $5 adapter), or a drone battery charger. No USB.

ok thanks   so why can't someone just put a usb plug on  there are ways and means  surely?

welcome to two weeks ago when the battery extender was announced along every thing else.

The DJI chargers put out about 23V. USB cannot do that.
