Is it possible to control an external camera on the Matrice 100 platform? I know you can feed video into the lightbridge system but can you control the pitch angle, for example, of an external camera and gimbal such as a Tarot 2D and GoPro setup? Can I connect a serial cable from the N1 to the gimbal to control it?

but there is a whole section in the documentation on how to feed video from an external camera (via cdmi or AV) into the N1 video encoder. isn't the whole idea of the M100 to be a development platform?

Correct you can use an external camera for video with the encoder. To control another type of function like gimbal you could use UART but you would need to also use the sdk. Like Tim posted out of the box it only supports the x series.

Sorry that doc must have been for the old video encoder. It appears there is no way to control a 3rd party camera
