If the fan just doesn't turn on in startup process sometimes, please don't worry. That's normal, technically, the fan will turn on automatically later when the conditions, such as temperature, come to certain standard.

Hi, I have heard that some fans in the osmo become slightly stuck at tmes, just a light flick with your finger will get them going again (or a blow )

You can tap with your finger nail to get it to start.
Fan usually should start a few seconds after gimbal turns on.
