Just got the P4 and I charged my 3 batteries last night one after the other. I noticed the power supply got very hot and its a cumbersome process waiting and plugging them in one after the other.

What we need is a DJI multi battery charger for speed and unattended multiple battery charging. It would make sense to have this an an accessory  when we need speedy charging of all our batteries at once.

Are there are any plans for a multi-charger?

Hopefully, I don't know how it would be made though, considering the position of the port compared to the Phantom 3 batteries.

Why would I want to use an ammo tin?
EDIT: The first one won't ship to the US.

Because somebody recently posted pics on facebook of his garage that almost went up in flames while he was charging his P3 batteries.

f f f fire ....
im always very careful if its a non mfg spare for charging
cheap caps and coils

I actually had an ecig charger from far east that caught fire. Ironically, it had the brand FIRE on the
front. Probably to get round the trade descriptions act in the UK.

"Im sorry sir but we clearly stated it would catch fire"

Strange. Guess I won't be buying any non-DJI chargers anytime soon.

They make one for the P3, so I guess one for the P4 will come along soon.

That looks to be quite dangerous if it does what it claims. No system should try to charge more than one battery simultaneously, the power supply is not rated to do that.

Thank you for the advice. I am aware of the heat issues and fire hazard. I will report back once i have given it a try!

The heat is normal. Just warm to the touch. Not so much that you can't leave your finger on it.
You are really going to enjoy the P4. Great choice.

Good luck!
The missing multi charger for the P4 batteries is one of the reasons why I put my early P4 order on hold.
The meanwhile available DJI snap-on prop guards are a good idea, but they disable the anti collision sensors I've read...
I really enjoy the original DJI multi charger for the P3 batteries. IIRC it also took a while for the Inspire One multi charger to come to the market...

Hi . Sorry for late reply. I have been overseas for the last 2 months. I eventually bought the Dji multi charger  and would recommend that over the chinese one.
