If you are flying, it just keeps coming down. If it senses no altitude drop then it  will shut motors off. Don't worry if In flight it WILL NOT SHUT MOTORS OFF
For example if you hand catch it and pull down on throttle for 3 seconds it will shut off, if it is stuck in a tree branch and you hold the throttle down for 3 seconds it will shut down.

I was going to ask this questions the other day, i was 200ft above and was coming down.. i didnt pull the stick all the way incase it just come down till i read about it online that i wont effect shutting the motors off
