I installed a Flytrex Code2 flight data recorder on my P2V+. It's nice to be able to see all the info about your flight. I have an app on my phone but I sometimes forget to start it. This starts recording as soon as the bird powers up. The interesting thing about this I seem to now get better GPS. The unit connects to the GPS antenna.

Installation

If you have a 3 d printer, you can print a holder to bolt to your Phantom.  You can download this and print it.  It works great and it's simple.

That's a pretty cheap investment if it prevents you from losing your Phantom. Will have to look at this a little further.
