I know, right?!  I was shocked as it is almost 3000' beyond my best distance. The birds FW is 1.4.6 (I refuse to update it) and the app I used for the 1st time today, DJI Ultimate Flight. I really dig this app. Even better than Litchi...

Not avail for IOS?  I cant find that app.

Remember that's is total flight, in this case one way would be half that, 1200 meters. It is still very good for the standard though!

I also got to 1225 meters stock. And I am in CE territory (500 meters range). So that's pretty good.
I have the latest 1.5 firmware.
I think the key is interference. I also can't get past 150 meters if the air around is "dirty".

wow I was only able 500m, apparently because FAS1 using FCC

Where is everyone getting these distances from?  Looking at the kml file in Google Earth shows the track at 5448 meters/3.39 miles/17875 feet.

No, no, no, no, no...Completely wrong...That is one way, so 16,000+ total feet. You (Healthy Drones) only care how far out one goes, and if you know how far it went, you know how far to RTH.

I am getting my footage from both the DJI Ultimate Flight app as well as the HD report. Google map distances are not to be trusted from my experience. No way this will go 3 miles one way. Total (out/back) maybe but most definately NOT one way.

My record with the stock P3S is 2,8km (1,8 miles). yes, one way.

Yes, that's the round trip travel distance including the climb and descent.   The trip out was a bit shorter as it took off and advanced at around 45° until it reached altitude.  The return home and landing was slightly longer as it was a 90° descent.

This isn't Google Maps, where I'm asking for directions to the closest McDonalds and getting an estimate.  It is on Google Earth (Pro), plotting the GPS coordinates from the kml file.  It's pretty accurate.  It will be measuring all the slight deviations in the path travelled, not the linear distance between point A and B.

Wowzers! Then I went 3 miles OUT?! Insane! Of course, I believe that to be a ROUND TRIP 'mileage' which equates to the distance (one way) shown on HD... And either Google or the app was only off by 100'. Not shabby.

Healthy drones is showing a MaxDistance of 2654 meters = 1.65 miles.  Google Earth measured your track at 1.66 miles, this is due to your deviation side to side from the "straight as an arrow" course, your track is slightly longer than the radius from home point to return point.

I guess using my method you could theoretically get the "longest/furthest" flight by doing a continuous orbit and measuring the track.  None of the danger of losing the aircraft by sending it a long way away.  Of course that doesn't test the RC range at all.

it depends where you are. 300m is almost nothing, try flying in any open field.
