Well i stand corrected, went to my benchmark interference free tree free far as the eye can see site and sure enough i cannot get the range i had before.  Since i can only downgrade 1 step (i upgraded, without incident, from 1.5 something to 1.8.08 and 1.6 on rc) i want to ensure that going back 1 step to 1.5.8 on rc, and 1.7.006 on ac will work alright together.  Thanks in advance.

How do you downgrade the AC?  I can't find a certain way to do it.

I've not done it before (upgraded out of the box in December 2015 and never again until the other day) but I've read lots of successful stories that say simply put the ONE previous firmware on a formatted SD card, inset, turn on AC, etc etc and it should do it.

But where do you find old firmwares ?

In the dji site, under phantom 3 pro (or whatever you have) then downloads....it's drop down menus

There will only be the one FW prior to the current one, I think that's as far back as you can go

OK. THere are only 2 old versions available. 1.7.060 and 1.3.20.
My craft doest accept to download with those 2.
Where can i fin more versions ?

I spent 2 hours yesterday doing it so, didn't work. Formatted my SD card, dropped the old FW to bin and placed SD card to AC and nothing.

So I still have some time to work on it. I can't find anywhere on internet that anybody done downgrade. It's weird but DJI claims it is possible to downgrade to previews FW. Maybe nor anymore??

I have the dbs mod and it used to work marvelously

guys it does not work you can return only one back no more
if you want to continue  it must go to the DJI service because only they can go to the previous firmewer

end of story !!!

I know you can go on one step back, I'm wanting to be certain that if I go back one on the AC and one FW back on the RC that they will link up and work well together.  The numbers don't match so I'm not sure which RC/AC fws work OK together

When I wrote I was not able to downgrade the firmware I meant only one firmware back.. not 2 not 3, its not even possible to roll 1.7.0060  I guess. If its possible can someone show me how? And not only me, there are a lot of people who need that help.

I wouldn't mind to buy dbs antenna, but the problem is it will not feet in my hardshell case especially to travel aboard.

Before FW upgrade at my benchmark site, with the dbs, I went out several times to 19000+ feet and stillnhad full bars on both signals.  Yesterday after the download I could get to around 8500 then sudden video stop or loss altogether.  I could only fly once yesterday....ran out of daylight.  Gonna try it again tomorrow and hope it was a solar flare or something.

After the new fw I only got 1000 feet before video break up  my benchmark place is at home high wifi area. I dropped fps to 30 and that helped. Windsurfers got met to 3000

From the main home page, if you press the graduation hat (upper right corner) and press it for 5-10 seconds then let go, it will take you into the downgrade menu (aircraft OFF while dong this).As for the drone. just simply extract the 1.7 fw to the card and do it like the upgrading. But P3A cannot be downgraded if its fw is 1.8 now.
