Greetings to all:

I have just spent nearly a thousand dollar to purchase a Phantom 2 with Zenmuse 3H 3D gimbal system, and the required GoPro Hero3 only to discover that the software updates, calibration etc from DJI require Window 8! My computer has a Window 8.1

As a result, I could not run setup, updates, and calibration on the Phantom 2, the remote controller, and the gimbal stabilizer. I tried many times unsuccessfully. Nothing got connected with the downloaded software on my computer. I have filed a complaint with DJI.

It is ridiculous that DJI is limiting the use of their software to certain operating Windows systems. There was no previous warnings to potential customers of their products of this problem.

Does anyone have any suggestion on how to bypass this problem? My new Phantom 2 is now a sitting duck. I am afraid to fly it for fear of a flyaway because the compass on the copter and the remote control are not calibrated.

Maybe you could get a friend's laptop to bypass this issue?

I'm on 8.1 and had the same problems until I downloaded and installed the windows drivers, after which everything has worked perfectly.

didn't work for me even after downloading the drivers.

Never had any problems here, Win 8.1 Pro

Can you give the link for the Windows Drivers? I didn't see it on the DJI support website.

Windows 8.1 is fully supported. Please download and install this driver.
