Quick question: There's no "camera status light" on the Zenmuse X5R, so when updating firmware there's no visual confirmation of success.
Is there any more reliable method of confirming the update has completed BEFORE just turning off the craft and checking the .txt file? Or is it a matter of listening to the sound pattern generated during the update?

You know when it is complete because the beeps change tone you get a long beep followed by 3 shorter ...

Thanks Richard, I'll listen out for those next time. Reminds me of Spaceballs "the bleeps, the sweeps and the creeps". Little worrying that the manual wasn't aware the camera had changed.

Correct, the beeps are you status indicators.
4 beeps for updating and three for completion.
