Best?
If you are assuming that carbon fibre will somehow be better than the standard props, you might be in for a surprise.

Everything I have read says they are better and stronger and more efficient.

Then you haven't read much.
Lots of people assume they will be better but testing doesn't come up with any actual improvement in flight characteristics.
The closest you'll find is people that feel they are better.
If it was that easy to gain performance improvement, DJI would have put CF props on as standard.

Cf costs alot more to manufacture.   plastic one are just molded and easily mass produced.  i believe carbon fiber is superior in many ways.

Less deflection.  quieter and more efficient due to no deflection,  stronger.  few grams heavier do in theory less responsive do to inertial mass, but so minimal you would never notice a difference.

My testing with the DJI ones show no conclusive evidence of improvement.  I did get 30 seconds longer flight time before hitting 30% battery once but there are too many other more influential variables that could be responsible.  They are slightly stiffer, but I fail to see that as much of an advantage beyond theory alone.  I've certainly not found any consistent measurable advantage.

They were slightly more out of balance than the plastic ones though.  They are also 1g heavier than the standard plastic props! (13g against 12g for the plastic props)

Also, the DJI props aren't really what you'd call carbon fibre. They're plastic with carbon fibre reinforcement.

For the money, I don't think they were worth the postage from DJI.

Everything I have read says they are better and stronger and more efficient.

My experience is that they might be a bit stronger for light impacts (against chips, dings, etc), but I think they tend to Break before Bend.   I had a rough landing (major wind gust) that tipped my drone on the land and the two props on the down side absolutely shattered - that said, the plastic ones probably would have needed to be replaced as well, so not sure it matters.  But the standard props seem to have a bit more Bend before Break.    That said, the CF ones looks pretty nice.     If there is any operational difference between the two I can't tell.

I also found the CF props are not as balanced as the standard props. I have to slap a bunch of tapes onto my CF props just to get it balanced.

why not stick with the original ones? They are pretty good

You're right Alan, I plan on doing just that.
