Hi everyone.

  I just received my P4 the other day and am getting used to all the screens and settings. I'm using a Nexus 7 2013 tablet. I'm trying to load the DJI Assistant 2 software onto my tablet, but it won't open the downloaded .EXE file. I've read that .EXE files can't be opened in an android device. Is this true? Is there a Assistant 2 program that will run on my
tablet?

With that being said, is there any reason other than firmware updates that the assistant is even needed?

There is no Assistant app to run on your tablet, it's for PC and Mac.

Another purpose of DJI Assistant V2 is to pull flight data off of your aircraft for analysis.

And calibrate the Obstacle Avoidance sensors.

Thanks for the help guys. I will download it to my PC tomorrow.

My PC running XP is Off Line only, (NO Internet Connection).   I downloaded the DJI Assistant zip file from a public access computer to USB drive.  I plan on opening the Zip when I get home which I would anticipate will install the program.
1. Does any know of any issues of running DJI Assistant without internet connection?
2. Are There any published instructions/tutorials for program use, ( I couldn't find any with search), or do I just in jump and and learn through experiment and evaluate.

You need an internet connection to download firmware updates.   When you connect your computer to your craft using a USB cable, the program checks what firmware it's running.  If there is a later firmware available it lets you know and gives you the option to install it.

But the program checks for updates and downloads the firmware from the net..  It can't be done without an internet connection.

Thanks for response jwt873.  I have a P4 and use DJI GO for updates, via Tab S with wifi access from public open access points and super secure non-traceable points.
   I assume from your answer you have significant experience using DJI assistant, and firmware updates were the only potential issue.

Nunca ha habido una versión de Android de DJI Assistant 2.
Tienes que ejecutar el Asistente 2 desde tu computadora
