My name is Chuba....and I am from the UK. The photograph on here is me. My surname is not really necessary, as my family are the only ones with that surname, throughout the UK.
I'm all for people being more open, but it is not a dealbreaker and, to be frank, it doesn't make much sense coming from you - unless your name is Chicago DP and you look like a Phantom.
Is your name Chicago DP????
Furthermore, people throughout Creative Cow, use names that are not theirs. Don't kid yourself. All you need is an email address, and who doesn't have a few of those?
The guy was actually making a lot of sense, until he let the veil slip and the racism out, but if he was being an asshole, then it is just that! It has nothing to do with his anonymity.
I've picked up little nuggets from R&L Aerial, Horsepowering, Flightime, and even yourself, to name but a few.....none of whom are posting their names, and there is a lot we disagree on...but respectfully.
I do not support racism on this site, or anywhere else, and I fully support kicking it out. His anonymity does not stop him from being banned, does it? Same process - just block his registered username/email.
It's clearly not about China. The guy is bang out of order, and his comment is based on the arrogant assumption that he can speak for the rest of the world....that much is obvious to the rational thinking man. I spend a lot of time in the Far East, and have met some of the most honorable people I have ever known there. We stay by each other for a couple of days, whenever we are in each others countries - as i am doing right now - be it Hong Kong, Singapore, China, South Korea or the Phillipines. Real humble guys....visionaries, with CRAZY skills, and I'm truly proud to call them friends.
However, unless you were born yesterday, you will be aware that DJI are systematically less than truthful with their timescales, communications, and reasons. And yes, they do LIE from time to time, pretending their stock has run out, before they have ever had any.
When days turn to weeks and then months, with no follow up information, people are going to get understandably pissed, especially when they are used to a proper customer service level. They are more than marketing issues. They are honesty issues....Call a spade a spade.
If your goods haven't been shipped after 6 weeks, when they were promised to be shipped after 7 days and you complain, does that make you a whiner?
From ANY company that takes your payment in full upfront, before even checking their stock availability, you need a PROPER, PROACTIVE level of service.
I'm fed up of all these DJI apologists! What the hell is in it for you? Improvements in customer service everywhere are directly proportional to the customers' demand for it...FACT. In other words, you get what you allow (in the collective sense).
If you believe it is all about transparency on a forum, then talk is cheap, my friend. You need to be an example of what you want to see.
