FYI,When I was looking at upgrading from the P3 Pro about the only thing that was said to be compatible from the P3 to the P4 were the ND filters.  That statment is true. However, the Gimbal Lock is quite different from the P3 and this is causing some grief. See the photos below, as the ND filters are just a little bit fatter than the P4's original lens the gimbal lock is not fitting quite as nicely. The from lens cover seems to be binding/rubbing on the lens of the filter (not good) and may end up scratching it.
Might have to cut off the back vertical brace of the Gimbal for it to fit. Should still provide adequate support for the original lens.

Probably more apt to buy new filters made for p4.

I did read somewhere here that polar pro are making a replacement gimbal lock to allow their filters to fit.

Yes, Jeff and Polar Pro are stellar abd their products are great.
Please explain why your DJI customer support was an unpleasant experience. We try to do all we can and please as many as we can. But with hundreds of thousands of drones sold every year there is going to be a few unhappy people.

Jeff and Polar Pro sure know how to handle customer service. Kudos to them!

I use the Polar Pro gimbal lock (and it is fine, thought the DJI version offers better protection from vibration since it connects the gimbal to the legs).  The polar pro gimbal lock connects the camera to the gimbal mount. You could also just cut the back off of the DJI gimbal lock and it does a great  job.

I have the polar pro filter kit, I like them, but your gimbal lock/clamp/cover doesn't look secure enough,I could be wrong though I've never used it, anyway I just unscrew the polar filter and screw the dji one back on for transport with the original gimbal clamp.

Jeff, will this gimbal lock also work on the push-on as well as the screw-on filters?

Hey Mack,

The Lens Cover will only work with our Thread-On series.
Our thought was that the Push-On filters can be installed and removed easy enough that you can just take them off right before installing the Lens Cover / Gimbal Lock.
