I need opinions on full set up of FPV Goggles on an P3 Advance.  What all is needed-Price is somewhat important but quality and ease of set up is more important (I use reading glasses).  I want to feel like I am in the quad and I would like others to view while I am flying quad.

You will need the HDMI upgrade module, 99usd.  I have both the fatshark dominator v3 and The headplay.  The headplay is higher resolution, larger display, easy to use with glasses unlike the fatshark, and is 100 bucks less at about 250usd.  Be aware that, at least in my case, plugging in the HDMI cable to either headset reduces my video range a LOT.  Not sure why, and questions to both companies and dji have not been responded to.

Also, some will say to get a Google cardboard style vr viewer and put your phone in it, connected via USB.  This will be about 15-30 bucks and may work well, however, your djigo app is then inside the viewer, no one else will see the flight, and if you freak out you have to fumble around d and take the phone out to do whatever.  With the HDMI/goggle setup you still have your phone/tablet in use on the remote controller

I use a Ipad mini---although cost efficient, not an option.  Thanks

I use iPad mini as well, works great.  Obviously will not fit in vr viewers.  At my tree/building/human/wifi free site I can go 20,400+ feet without goggles connected, and just below 5000 ft with them.

I just read on the RC Group forum that with the HDMI Output Module and Headplay that the FPV is blurred due to the fact the P3A can not process fast enough.  Are you having any issues?  This may be an old post.
Has anyone heard this?

I have the p3p but I cannot imagine that it is any different than the p3a in image transmission... The only time I have noted blurriness is when I forget to put on my glasses.  Btw, I work with reading glasses 1.5x.  For a perfect headplay image I had to buy a pair of 2.5 readers.

The post stated that the live frame rate was less for the Adv. compared to the Pro.

Hmmmm I dunno....I am not at all a photographer (yet) but my settings are 1080p at 30 fps.  I set the go app at its lowest transfer rate (4mbs I think)

I have considered FPV goggles because it is usually hard to see my phone or tablet with the glare of the sun, but how would you go about selecting something you must select on your phone or tablet since you are wearing goggles?
