I am wanting to purchase a second remote control to use as a slave (or just as a backup), but I wanted to know if I have to buy the exact same model (ie GL658 A, B or C)? I currently have the GL658B.

No problem at here, we are here to help you

If you are offered a choice , most want the "C" version.  There is much debate on Power and what not out there , I think a lot is MumboJumbo but if you do have the option Get radio "C" it also has the best re -sale from what I have heard.

Just what the scuttlebutt  is , dont shoot the messenger.
