My RC experience goes back a bit to when I was building and flying pattern. For those that are unfamilar, that's basically competitive precision flying of specific patterns incorporating multiple manuvers such as loops, figure eights, rolls, and more. Admittedly, I didn't advance to the top ranks of pattern flyers, to say the least. But for me, it gave reason to the hobby. To go to the field with a goal of improving on my last flight and refine my skills with clear parameters. Now that I'm flying the I1P, I've been trying to come up with a similar routine that would give me the same results.
My question is, is anyone aware of existing 'patterns' that people are using for drones? If you have ideas that you can offer, they are more than welcome. Right now I'm working with loops and figure eights, but flying them forward, backward and sideways. Much easier said than done, but again, the improvement in skills is the goal.
