Just got my Phantom 3 Advance and want to get an extra battery or 2 but they are too pricey, do they ever go on sale?

amazon sells them for $99, if u r in the us. Just make sure you get a dji one, not a clone.

Just check daily. Also, check reviews to make sure they're genuine DJI batteries and not aftermarket.

UK, cheapest I could quickly find was £103 (again, amazon: http://amzn.to/1U2tDMn )
But I think there is somebody in Manchester selling them for £80 (pick up only). Not sure anymore if I saw that here, on PhantomPilots or on Facebook. Sorry.

You can thank people for making these batteries so expensive. We were perfectly content with $14 phantom 1 batteries that you could upgrade from 2200 mah to much higher rated batteries or run a dual battery setup with a y splitter... and then people demanded smart device integration... which required more power for the doo dads and what nots and the doo hickeys. As a result simple battery became smart battery and cost of battery was raised 9 times for phantom 2, phantom 3 and 10-11 times for phantom 4. So much for smartphone integration.

This issue could have been solved with OSD setup that cost $5 but noooo...

And that is why we are here.
