I'm seriously thinking about getting one of these to complement my P3P.

My dilemma is that I use an iPad Air2 for the P3P and my iPhone is a 5.  I'm waiting for the iPhone 7 to come out before I make a decision to upgrade my phone.

My question is, can I purchase a compatable device (phone) and not activate it as a phone, but just use it as an OSMO monitor/controller?

Has anyone done this?

I appreciate your thoughts on the matter.

Tim

Yes, I use an ipod touch 16GB purely for the Osmo. A cheap and simple alternative, plus I only run the DJI Go app on it. No calls or sms messages interrupting and a lot less lag as I am only running 1 app.

+1 for above post, I use the 32gb ipod touch just for the osmo, the screen a bit smaller than the iphones etc, it works very well no issues at all since I have been using it now for around 4-5 months

Excellent news, thanks!

I never even thought about an iPod.

Hi,
Even though some mobile devices are not in the official recommended list, they may work well with the DJI GO App in some situations.

Any feedback about it would be appreciated.
