Gents,
Is there a listing of the P3P and P3A update log device codes available somewhere?
It would be nice to know what the "device not dectected" is that shows up in some of the logs.
I have seen someone post that [15] is the Air module... OK now where is that and what does it do?...;)
Cheers,
Jim

Hello jesolins, when you see the "device not dectected", first it is recommended to check whether the cables and connectors are in good status and re-upgrade the drone. But if this issue doesn't disappear, please get in touch with our tech support and send the drone to our service center for diagnosis.

If you see module 8 and 15 Device Not Detected after a firmware update that means your video transmission module has been corrupted and it mostly needs a new camera.
If you only see one Device Not Detected module, you can try to reinstall the firmware again to see if you get a video signal.

Hi Gents,
Thanks for the responses.
The camera works fine on another P3P so that is not the issue.
I also replaced the OFDM with a known good working one, so that is not the issue.  Both of the OFDMs which work fine on another P3P.  However on this P3P that I am troubleshooting, neither of these good working OFDMs will go into bind mode for linking the controller.  The OFDM LED blinks orange.
What does that mean and what should I check?
The cables all check good with a digimeter continuity check.

Can you please post a list with the software update log codes to help us troubleshoot.

This is the problem line on the failed firmware upgrades:
[00540386][19 00][00] v0.0.0.0 -> v1.0.8.96 need upgrade.
What is module 19 and where should I check for a fix please?

Thanks and Cheers,
Jim

Hi Gents,
Thanks for the responses.

Module 19 is an Air part in the aircraft and not part of the camera.
You need to send it in for repair.
The log file codes are internal.

The logs are "internal" meaning they are not to be released to owners?
So everything is an "Air Part" eh...)

How much do you estimate the cost would be to repair this out of warranty repair be for this "Air Part" firmware loading failure?

Jim

Jim,
You need a new centerboard depending on which board you have, if it's the old one then you need new motors and ESC's too.So very rough estimate would be $250- $300 if thee are no other repairs required.

Hi Ken,
Thanks for your response.
I found the problem and it was a zero cost fix!
There was a cold solder joint on one of the board's connectors.  A solder re-flow fixed it nicely.
Module 19 now says updated!...;)

Jim

Nice, glad you were able to repair it yourself.
I don't know if it was under warranty or not, but if that didn't totally fix it and you need to send it in it will not be under warranty.

Ken,
It was definitely out of warranty. These kinds of repairs and troubleshooting are simply part of the hobby fun for me;)
I flew it through 5 batteries yesterday and all is well;)
