I just got an Osmo handle for my X5R and downloaded the new firmware, put it on an mSD card, put that in the X5R and turned on Osmo power.  Fan came on, no lights, no sounds, nothing.  Waited 30min until battery indicator showed that it was about to die and then shut it off.

Is there some sort of secret handshake needed to update the Osmo firmware with the X5R?

Having similar issues and multiple calls to support hasn't furthered the situation.  I think firmware updates cause more than 75% of the problems people have with DJI products...it's just a clusterf**k (and that's being nice).  I have never had to deal with so much BS just to get a product to work and turn on.  
I'm about to toss this piece of junk out the window...
