Happily I've never had any issues with updates.... so far. Love this. Great job.

I have had one with every product except for the Inspire 1 RAW.  The Osmo has corrected that anomaly though.

Funny to watch... It can be a bit confusing.

The best thing to do is read the firmware update instructions first. So far everything has gone okay for my aircraft; P3P Inspire's 1 V1 and V2 plus the P4

I think my situation has the DJI guys stumped as well.  I have seen quite a few other people trying to get the Osmo/X5R working.  It might have something to do with using an X3-less Osmo.  Imagine it will take another firmware to get it working (yay)

Most of us can handle this new technology and I personally think that DJI has put many new items on the market lately. There are bound to be some issues found between the platforms and cameras.

I have a feeling you are right another FW is coming to all of us soon    This will give you a chance to update your video again

I dunno...I can't think of another piece of camera gear that requires a firmware update before it even turns on.  The Inspire 1 RAW was actually the best experience I have had with DJI so far.  Every other product has had hiccups and required a few calls to customer support.  I think they botched the Osmo.  Standalone with the X3?  Seems fine.  Working with the X5 and X5R?  It seems like they just threw it out there without even beta testing.

I have been having good luck with my X5R and Osmo so far, even though it has only been light use over the weekend. (4 osmo batts worth)

Been there, done that......or should that be drone that.

      Glad you are better at making movies than following basic directions....

You are that guy that cant read directons and get's pissy when you ask the basic questions , Like, " Is the Battery charged ? "  Or " Have you programmed SD cards before "  I  forgot you know it all.... but still need help...

   I Just dont like members who ask for help then get snippy when you ask them to confirm the basics first , thay think you are being condescending when you just need confirm  they understand the basics.   You dont know who you are dealing with most of the time when trying to help members , Not sure if they have 20 years or 20 minutes in the hobby.  

The title should be , " My personal DJI story"......   certainly not   MY DJI story ..,...

Mmm...well this is a parody so no, I don't actually get that upset when I am asked simple questions because I have worked in customer service before and understand what needs to be asked.  It's a joke...

Also, the Osmo still isn't working with the X5R despite following all of the directions that DJI has published.  Hence...the creation of this video.

Finally, most of the comments relate to the video so I think the title is actually perfect!

Did you have an Osmo with the X3 or did you buy the standalone stick?  Apparently there are issues with some of the standalone sticks that can't be upgraded or something.  Trying to pinpoint what the deal is as I have now read 3-4 other posts like mine.

My plan at first was to get just the handle and X5/X5R... thankfully, they backordered the crap out of the handle when I was planning to purchase mine... (not to mention the X5 adapter was so far away as well) so I got the combo kit with the X3. I see what you mean though.. and makes sense, sorry to hear its not working for you. Wait... I remember watching some of your early vids, so you do not have the X3 for the inspire anymore? If so, use that to update the X3 and the handle to the newest version, then try to update the X5R. If you have already done that... sorry.

So far my osmo works fine... and yes it is the X3 version that came with the camera. I did two FW updates on this one and the only thing I can comment on is the battery only seems to last about 20 min so far.

What about the videos you made way back for the LUTS? The X5 was not out back then.
