So finally sold my P2 and got the P3 Advanced and I am LOVING it. Had to go and get another battery because duh and when I realized that I hadnt updated it to the newest firmware I attempted to do it with a fresh SD with no other files but the firmware on it.
No sounds or anything, but now sometimes when I go out to fly it will give me no problems or messages and sometimes when I go out to fly it says battery requires firmware update?? Both the quad and the remote are on the latest firmware but I cant seem to get the battery figured out.

Any ideas on how I could ensure that the battery gets updated?

And as a follow up question, is it dangerous to fly without the latest firmware in the battery? I have probably flown on it for a total of 10 minutes before realizing it wasnt up to date.
