Current Status
App Version: 2.8.1
Aircraft Version: 1.8.01.00
Remote Controller Version 1.6.0
Camera Version: 1.8.01.00

I performed an update to the releases mentioned above. Now I get no image and the error message "No Image Transmission Signal"

The interesting think is if  I use my old "regular" gimal the system works. Just with the new "PRO" gimal I get no image.

Any help around?

Im having the same issues.  Keeps saying no gimbal connected.  Yet I can control the gimbal but there is no images.  All my batteries are up to date, the firmware on the Inspire is up to date, the controller is up to date.  This has even happened mid flight.  The last two firmware updates have caused me nothing but problems.

Check your Gimbal for a loose or broken connection , look at the pins closely with a magnifying glass if you must.  It sounds like something is broken on the Gimbal to me.

I take my camera off as little as I can, the more you take it on and off the more you risk breaking a pin.

Also check your connections, sounds like a loose wiring harness to me. Make sure they are fully seated.

Try Donnie's suggestions and also can you please post the hidden log file form the SD card. And if you have formatted the card already, then download the correct firmware again and re-attempt the firmware update and then post the hidden log.

If everything is working then it doesn't, do as Donnie suggested and check and clean the gimbal connections and contacts.

In my case the contacts seems to be good, as I connect my X3 Camera everything works.
With the Zenmuse X5 I still get no image transmission  - the camera works as I can record videos...

  Why not load the  ( 1.8 ) PRO UPDATE  then list the hidden files here for us to examine.  Cant hurt anything, I still think there is a bad connection with that new Gimbal wiring or pins.  If you dont know how to list hidden files I will give you a link with directions.

Again, post the hidden log files, if you already used the SD card then reinstall the 1.8.1.00 Inspire Pro firmware and post the hidden log after attempting to update.

I Agree !! I took mine off to use on an OSMO and had nothing but problems when I put it back. So I'd like to ask: If I'm traveling over rough country, is it OK to have the camera installed and have it subjected to the rough roads in my car, or should the camera be supported somehow to prevent it moving around? And if it should, has anyone any ideas on what to use?

If over rough terrain, then I would remove and place it in the case.  For most pilots , I think they should just leave it attached and make some sort of support system in their vehicle, that is what I do.
Just be extremely careful removing and installing the Camera, those pins look to be super sensitive.

Thanks. I'll check that. i doubt it's that though. I've just had a full service on the inspire and it's still having the problem.

Turn on Inspre 1 to see: "No Image Transmission Signal"
Funny,  cuz it worked perfectly  10 days ago.

Upgrade to 1.8.01...nothing. "No Image Transmission Signal"

Call DJI after 2 hours of utter frustration (Memories of returning My X3 in my head as my X5  now creating a certain kind of hell)

Updated to 1.8.01.00 after upgrading remote.  No luck
Take app off iPad, reinstall app.
Downgraded Remote, cycled through, upgrade remote...no luck

Motors work, can tilt camera up & down. BUT NO IMAGE!! "No Image Transmission Signal"

Call DJI 2nd time:

"Oh, you have 1.8.01.00, you should have 1.8.1.00". Hang up go to computer.
DOWNLOAD ON SITE SAYS 1.8.1.00, ZIP FILE SAYS 1.8.01.00  NOT MY MISTAKE

Motors work, can tilt camera up & down. BUT NO IMAGE!! "No Image Transmission Signal"

Put 1.8.01.00 (THIS IS CORRECT) on, downgrade remote. cycle through, upgrade remote. ZERO, ZILCH, NADA

3rd call to DJI:
"That's really weird, try going back to the old 1.4 firmware, try it with 1.6 Remote, or with 1.5.8 remote firmware and see what happen" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!?!?!

How about this DJI....release firmware that works before I kiss a day away trying to fix problems you create.

     De, do you still need help ?  If you do let me know, I will do my best.

If you still have "No image" when everything else works we need to view the Hidden files.  I have a tutorial on how to do so and will have  a link.

De, when you updated the aircraft you did not have the RC transmitter on did you ?  If you did this can cause a serious problem.  

Also when you updated the Inspire 1 you made sure the file was for the Inspire 1 and not the Pro correct ?

What I need you to do is load the new 1.8 file to the aircraft.  Use the directions above in my link, Then please list the hidden log or let me know what it says in lines 0800 and 1500.  If they are FW version numbers fine BUT if it says "Device Not Detected"  we have  a problem where it will need to be sent in.  If you could post the hidden file, I can help you.


Also you can not rollback the AirCraft  to version 1.4.  If you loaded 1.8 the only rollback possible is 1.7.  AND IF YOU DO ROLLBACK TO 1.7 TO THE AC YOU MUST ROLL THE TRANSMITTER BACK TO 1.58.   Lets take a peek at the hidden file and I will let you know what is going on.

DJI help desk actually said to rollback to 1.4  on the Aircraft ?  That is not possible without special software.....wonder what they were thinking......???

I need the log, like on Post # 13 on this thread to help you.  

Also do you have problems with both the X3 and X5 camera....bit confused on that part of your post.  You do know if you have an X5 camera that you only need to update the X5 camera FW and the X3 will work with that.

You must send the camera and aircraft in for repair.  On lines 0800 and 1500 you have the dreaded "device Not detected "  There is no way to fix that I am aware of without sending in.

It is either damaged or corrupted
