The 'vertical bars', which are actually horizontal bars, is prop shadow. Happens on any aircraft and is caused by the sun coming down through the props and casting a shadow onto the front of the lens. The fast spinning props therefore create this effet.

Quite normal and easily solved, tilt the camera down and do not shoot directly into the sun.
