Should it do this, the movement is only slight but if flying fast and i move the left joystick left or right the camera moves and i get the landing gear in the shot.

That's what it's designed to do.
If you are flying fast, it's not the camera moving, that you are seeing.
The camera should be quite stable but the aircraft is what is moving about.

Labroides is right. In the air if you want to move the camera from right to left, you need to rotate the drone.

I mean if the drone is sitting on the floor the camera still moves left and right slightly with the left joystick. Seems odd having that bit of movement if you are supposed to turn the drone to film left and right.

yes that is normal.   all of them do that.   if it doesn't move while on the ground then you have a problem.
