And can you say did you get it to work? Because people say that is not working because it is linked another iTunes account.. so only the .ips file don't mean that is working.

And also, if we fix these softwares by self and saying "it's now working perfect" - there is no any hurry dji to fix problem.. in good customer service the software producer gives a fix! We know that old version 2.8.1 is very easy to roll back to iTines if dji wants.. but no... they don't want to do that.

DJI support has just informed me that an update GO app has been submitted to Apple.  Let's hope Apple can fast track this and from now on I will ALWAYS backup my iPhone before updating anything DJI !

Wow I am happy I found this post as I thought I was going nuts. Just the other day I flew perfectly over water with no issues. The very next morning, less than 24 hours later, I try to fly and it won't go above 20 feet without losing signal.

I have read this entire thread and not once has anybody mentioned the bird landing itself after getting the "weak transmission signal" warning. This is what mine does no matter what. It can hover below 20 feet but as soon as it goes above it disconnects and lands itself.

Am I experiencing the same problem as everyone here on 2.8.2? I am using an iPhone 6s Plus that never gave me a problem until the other day.

I was able to downgrade the app but i am on the previous version before 2.8.1(not sure the number) but I am still experiencing the same problem with not being able to fly above 20 feet before it lands itself. I am at a loss right now and don't know what else to do.

I have 2 P3P's and both have this issue after the update.

I also have the video issue now since update. Even if the  controller is next to the P4 or a few metres away screen on Ipad mini 4 goes blank intermittently and pixilates etc.
Had no video feed issues prior to this update with exactly the same hardware.
Now its requesting new firmware update... no way am I doing that now.   Like everyone else I'll have to figure out how to downgrade the GO app to the previous version and turn auto updates off!

If you take your time and just go step by step you should be fine.  If doing this isn't your strength, perhaps a more techy friend can lend a hand.  If you're close to an Apple store (or for that matter can call), perhaps they can help walk you through restoring a backup that didn't have 2.8.2 on it..  Either way will working and you'll be flying again.. Again turn auto update for apps off on your iPhone/iPad to avoid this in the future..  Hope this helps..

Hello,

Sorry that my first post is a negative one. Hopefully this issue can be resolved and I can contribute positively in the future!

I took delivery of my new P4 just yesterday so installed the latest DJI Go Ap from iTunes Store on my iPad Mini, charged the Phantom batteries and stepped out into the garden to fly. The drone is in beginner mode and it was a bit windy so I could not test the equipment at any great range but I can confirm that I am getting exactly the same issues with the live video feed as have already been reported in this thread. My video feed is unusable as it pixelates constantly and has solid green blocks covering most of the screen every few seconds together with the same error message that others are getting.

I'm VERY disappointed that my first experience with this product is a negative one AND that it had been reported by multiple users prior to me using it. I know some people are being flamed in here for speaking up about their disappointment but I paid a premium for a high end product and I certainly hoped for a better user experience from day one.

The logical thing to do is roll back the update in iTunes in order for those of us affected to be able to use the product.

Well I just had the problem occur using my iPad Air 2. It was only one time so I did a bee line back to my home location and it reconnected about a 100 feet out. I tried to replicate the problem again by tracing my flight route and could not.

Tested... New firmware is NOT HELP THE IMAGE TRANSFER PROBLEM!

Firmware updated, push the camera button and 5sec "Weak image transfer signal" - i move the camera and terrible pixeling and green bars etc...

Again my $1800 device is going back to the box.. it is still unusable device at this moment.

I updated the Firmware for 4 Phantom v1.1.410. I Have (downgrade) App 2.8.1. Signal channel looks good and does not appear: "Weak image transfer signal".  So there is a fault in 2.8.2. I Have one ipad air 2.8.2 - there is still a problem.

Unfortunately same issue here. ipad mini on ios latest release and 2.8.2 image signal issue... Updating to the new firmware on my P4 seems to have helped but not resolve (don't know if it is just luck that the signal looked better after upgrade)

So, 2 hours ago I contacted DJI support through social media channels. They were very quick to respond although I got the generic "are you on the latest firmware etc etc" response. I assured them I am and within minutes got a response acknowledging the issue and that they have an updated DJI GO App staged in the Apple App Store and as soon as Apple approve it's release it will be available for download. Also got an apology which has really boosted my faith in them.

Although disappointed with the issue in the first place, I can't complain about their responsiveness but then I did only get my P4 yesterday. Let's hope this process is hours not days away......

Sounds hopeful.
This shouldn't have happened in the first place but give DJI their credit they hopefully have done their bit - now we will just wait for Apple to do their bit and then we can all start flying again.
With such high tech gear this is bound to happen.  I only wish they'd communicate on their Forum to keep us informed about what they are doing.

Ok, just tried 2.8.3  it and I could not replicate the video transmission issue.  Limited test, but under exactly same conditions as yesterday.

I found a reason: you need RESET THE COLOR SETTINGS!

If you don't reset the color settings in movie settings, your fpv image is totally blur.. I change first the resolution 1080p to -> 4k, nothing change. But when you change the D-Log -> none and then back -> D-log or Cinelike etc it works.

Been checking image here for near an hour now and not noticed any artifacts or transmission weak messages. This is DJI GO 2.8.3 working with RC 1.6 and Aircraft firmware 1.1.410

Facebook live stream is also OK (LTE-4G, ipad4, off wi-fi on ipad, auto channel)
I check the quality and synchronization of sound and vision - is ok.

Thanks DJI !  Made two 20 minutes flights this morning with both the new P4 firmware and DJI Go 2.8.3   All went very well. Did not test the camera settings, but will get to that this weekend.

There is a new firmware, but it is the NEW DJI GO APP that addresses the problem you're having.  So you need to do both.
