If you remember, I was having some drifting issues and reinstalled the remote firmware....  I think that did the trick
Ken, can I ask why you sold your V2 and kept the V1?

It's strange that RC firmware would make the aircraft more stable hovering. Maybe you just got a really good IMU and compass calibration.
I sold the V2 just because I had a lot of money tied up in it and wasn't flying it much at all at the time.
One of the employees gave me the V1 so I didn't need 2. And this old V1 flies absolutely amazing so it all just worked out

So when I had the drifting issues... I recalibrated many times both the IMU and Compass to no avail. Then I downgraded the FW on the remote and installed the new FW once again. After the cal's were done I noticed it was already better but we had windy days and could not say for sure. So, I finally confirmed it is better and while we  were at the river flying it was perfect. I agree the V1 that I had also flew perfectly and the new owner loves it too....

I will ask R&D if anything would on the RC could cause better hovering stability and see what they say.
I've just never heard of it before.
Just for fun, can you bind another RC and try
I think you'll get the same stability but if you don't, then it must be the RC.

I hate messing with it now that it is working perfectly... I will give it a try with my other remote and let you know. It is going to be 104*F tomorrow so not sure how fast I will get the results.

I installed 1345T on the v1 and it's the best modification I've done.

The inspire feels heavy and limited in manoeuvring compared to racing drones though. Maybe the maximum angles are just fixed for safe flying

100% Agree the new 1345T props are a very nice improvement!! You are correct the Inspire 1 is not intended to race but for a camera drone it is pretty fast

Or you want me to prove that you are correct      It really was strange and maybe the FW had nothing to do with it...  either case, I will try it out....

It was to hot today and I will try this for you sometime soon. Tomorrow I will be taking the P4 out for a spin and again it will be about 100*F for us here

Ken,

It's the same with my other remote... keep in mind that I had to update the FW before linking it because I have not used my slave remote for awhile..

If DJI indeed releases Inspire 2, do you think its going to be a new upgraded inspire body just by itslelf or new gimbol? Meaning, would you say its safe to upgrade MY X3 TO X5?

The battery capacity and airfame would likely stay the same but would have updated motors, cpu, vps, obstacle avoidance, 2nd pilot camera and new standard camera.

All good questions, that will be answered soon. I would hope they keep the same mounting platform for all of the camera options. The changes will be improved technology, such as dual IMU and compass maybe dual operator cameras. Object avoidance and more autonomous flight options.

I guess we will have to wait and see, for me I will be watching from the sidelines as I have 2 Inspires...

Hey guys. Do you think that IF Inspire 2 comes out soon - it will have better gimball as well? ...or will it have a new inspire body only?  I want to buy X5 for my osmo and also have it ready to jump from Phantom 3 to Inspire 2 hopefully)) But if Inspire 2 will come with new gimball than its probably will be a better deal to get the whole package than.  What are your thoughts?

It is anyone's guess, but I really hope they do not change the gimbal mounting and this will really be nice for everyone that has the X5 camera / X5 Raw. I am sure they will improve things but to be honest the gimbal works extremely well on the Inspire 1.

There is no new Inspire2 shortly but there is a FC350Z zoom camera thats why all items equiped with the old FC350 are in selloff.

There is the new model coming out soon theory, but there is also the explosion of fake youtube accounts and fake forum posters all over the New Typhoon H. All these fake accounts are supporting dji and it's obvious Dji are either scared about the H or that they are loosing sales to it. They also dropped the prices on the P4 just after the H launched...it doesn't take much to see the most likely reasons for these price drops.

Z3 release
Looks like we have seen some of the  new innovation's for the Inspire 2.  Look at the gimbal mount on the Z3 camera, it is supported on both sides just like the P4 camera.

The Zoom feature is nice but not $900 bucks nice
