Thank you It was 18 pics for the bottom half of the image (each one manually composed and exposed from the drone) and 7 fisheye pics for the sky half (ground camera).

That's really odd - I just opened it on my iPad. I'm not sure why it wouldn't open on your iPad unless Skypixel was still processing the image at the time. Hope it shows up later for you!

They do take a lot of time, space and effort to capture and process but since aerial photospheres are not very common, I don't mind the effort producing something different

Hehe - I could probably write a book or do evening classes on that ;)

In essence, I'm blending two stitched equirectangular 360 by 180 panoramas - one of the sky and one of the landscape in a way where the join is difficult to see.

It's so important to shoot in RAW and and expose each image optimally in the drone albeit this is very difficult and a degree of blown highlights is unavoidable if detail is to be maintained/recovered in the shadows. It's also important to help the stitcher by ensuring the images shot in the drone have detail in overlapping areas - especially where there is lots of ocean in view. In fact, the stitching technique can change in that situation!

I wish there was an easy way to meaningfully explain the process/techniques in a brief way. I'm using Autpano Giga for the stitching but the learning curve is pretty steep - I've been using it for years and I'm still learning

How long do you need to spend on site for these, a couple of hours, or longer ?

I've got it down to about 20 mins in total site time - often got 60-70% battery life left after the shoot. I research the location in advance, checking out sun position/proximity to buildings etc, and also a space where I can get my ground camera  sky shots with a relatively clear horizon as I want to merge the drone horizon with the ground camera horizon.

I try to keep the time between the flight and ground images as short as possible as should the cloud move too much, it can spoil my blending. Days with little wind are ideal in more than one way!

It's all the work after that really takes the time
