Beautiful and eccentric, this travel video documents our experience over 13 days as first time visitors to Japan.
We didn't have an itinerary, just 10 days in Tokyo and 3 in Kyoto to fill with exploring. We stayed in Airbnbs in Tokyo which worked out great and stayed at a Ryokan style guest house called Motonago in Kyoto and can recommend it.

Our visit was in March 2016. It took me 2 months of odd evenings and weekends to corral 13 days of footage into this 6 minute video. I wanted to do the whole experience justice and 3 minutes quickly turned into 4, 5, and 6. Let me know what you think. It was an awesome trip, we'd love to go back!

Shot almost exclusively on a DJI Osmo x3 with some DJI Phantom 3 Professional scenes as well. Shot in 4k @ 24fps. Editing and grading in After Effects CS6.

its funny I edited this in 4k with a non 4k monitor so I am not able to see the quality yet. Can't wait to revisit these when I do get a 4k monitor.

Just because I know After Effects. I should learn Premier

You should, You will find PR is so much easier than AE for editing video instead of making VFX.

Mark..  Thanks for your time, effort and providing inspiration for those of us starting out! I find it difficult to stay interested in videos over a couple of minutes long but this really grabbed me and had me smiling as well as "WOW"ing throughout its entirety.
