Thank you! Google maps allows you to add photos to existing placemarkers on the map so it limits the locations you can add photos to. Google now accepts 360 degree equirectangular views which are basically 360 by 180 images which are exactly twice as high as they are wide.

If you already have 360 by 180 degree images and upload them to Google, they will be shown in the way my one is at the top of the post. I generally upload them as 12000 pixels wide by 6000 high.

I was more interested in how you took the image.  Is is a composite of a number of photos taken from a phantom?

Ahh - sorry I misunderstood!

It is indeed a composite of around 18-21 images from the Phantom and then another set of the sky taken with a camera on the ground. The images are then stitched together to make a full 360 by 180.

I found a tutorial today (below) which gives an idea of the process. I don't use dronepan myself but shoot manually so that I can carefully expose each image instead of relying on automatic exposure which can blow highlights badly.
