Hi guys,

I'm running my P3A and controller on the latest firmware. Also using the  latest IOS app on my iPhone 6s (and ipad air). Today I got the no image  transmission error. It seems more people are affected by this. Is there  a solution yet?

I've tried the following:

Reboot all;
Change cables;
Error on both ipad, android device and iphone;
Changed batteries;
(force) Reinstalled firmware p3;
Etc. So ive tried every possible trial and error method..

Sometimes the signal pops up and I have an image and a few seconds later it goes away again.

Hello 3mpty, could you please post the hidden upgrade log here? You can find it by these steps:

1. Enable the option of viewing hidden files in your OS. Below are the websites where you can check how to show the hidden files in your PC.
For The Windows System:

For The Mac System:

2.Enter the root directory of the SD card, then find the hidden folder MISC and enter it. There is LOG folder in it.
3.The LOG txt file is under the LOG folder.

Hi Paladin,

I no longer have the logs. I managed to downgrade the RC to 1.5.8 using the dji go app. And I've downgraded my phantom to 1.7. Now everything works again. I just had a succesfull flight without problems. So there seems to be something in the latest phantom firmware or RC firmware. Hope you guys can work with that and I could provide you with details if needed.

Ok, problem is back. I did no firmware update or what so ever. I also had succesfull flights yesterday. Today I turned on my drone and intantly had this message:

By the way I don't know if this is related. But I tried rebooting some times and there was nog new log file created. Now upgrading to 1.8 again via the bin file. Hope this will work out..

Does the gimbal work well now？ Besides, you can format the SD card and use the correct firmware to try again. It would be better to post the whole log then

During the flights that worked I had no problems. When I powered on my drone today I had the problems as I stated earlier in this thread. The gimball went limp and no video feed. After powering on and off a few times the gimball would stay up but still no video feed. When the upgrade is complete I will give an update. Do you thing this is firmware related or hardware related? Because when it works it works without problems even in strong winds. So I would suggest something else is going on here.

Replug these 2 cables and try to upgrade again. Usually the upgrade log should not look like that.

Ok, I did that. Just formatted my sd card and put 1.8 on it. How can I force the drone to install it? Holding the link button while powering on right?

When I connect my drone via the usb cable to my computer it connects and then disconnects th whole time.

1.8 is back on and my remote at 1.5.8. It works again, now lets see for how long this will last.. Had a flight with no problems a few hours ago.

No transmission error is back. The camera goes limp again now. I also notice, that when I turn the drone off (by pressing the battery button) it takes longer than normal.

The other weird part now is that in the app I had AC version 1.8+ which worked, and now it is back to 1.8 without the + and it is giving the no transmission error. What is going on here? Is this really just firmware going roque? Or should I return my drone this weekend when I have time for RMA?

The drone's log is normal.Here are my 2 suggestion:
1.Upgrade your RC to the latest 1.6.0 version
2.Try other SD cards if it is possible.

I already took my drone back to the shop. They will replace it for a new one after some quick tests. I was done troubleshooting.

I already enjoyed the one that did not work all the time Too bad it was kinda DOA. Do you guys monitor phantompilots.com? It seems more of the firmware related issues are posted over there instead of here. You guys should take a look

Got my new p3a. This one works and has no problems so far. Also this one makes a cooling sound from the gimball area, and also the camera does not go limp when I turn it off. Guess the other one was just failty

This issue (camera doesn't go limp when powered off) doesn't influence the normal operation of the camera. Don't worry about this.

Yeah this was with the previous (defective) phantom that I returned. I now have one with a fan in the gimball, which the defective one did not have.

Yes. Today morning I gave my p3 to service in Poland in Katowice. They will look at my drone but they can't open gimbal ect because my guarantee will be lost. If they will not rpr it I will send it to You.
