Hi All,

Please watch this video:
i was about to bring it to landing when this happen.

The Phantom has no modifications, i calibrate the compass before each flight, battery was above 70% at the time of the accident, sunny day with wind 4-5mph….

Is there any way I can get log files from the drone?

All I did after this is to remove the memory card so I can get the video.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi!

I'm sure that you can download the .DAT files from the aircraft and ask to DJI support to analyze them.

WOW you were very lucky,,, I would not fly again until you have answers as to what happened.  The DJI mods will help you there.

Your Phantom entered Vortex Ring State - when landing too fast, your Phantom became settling with power.

You are lucky not resulting with any damage!

Having watched the video carefully again, it appears to me that your Phantom was not lowering its attitude at the moment it firstly flipped over.

I was wrong about having suggested the Vortex Ring State.

Hello cpam_it, if you are using the Phantom 3 series, you can sync your flight record and download the DAT files of the accident date and send them to support.eu@dji.com for data analysis. Here is the method to download those files from the drone:
1.Connect your drone to your PC with the USB cable through the Micro USB Port under the Phantom Label in the front.
2.Turn on both your drone and controller, connect your phone to your controller and open DJI pilot
3.This option is under MODE_MC Settings_Advanced Settings_Enter flight data mode.
4.Select that DAT files with the correct date on your PC.Copy them to your computer.

Unfortunately the Phantom 2 series don't have any flight data recorder. So you cannot get any DAT file from it.

Did you set your drone in Naza-m mode and fly it in manual mode?

That's strange because you didn't operate the drone in manual mode at that time. I'd suggest you to get in touch with our EU tech support. Here is the contacting information: 联系欧洲.JPG
