The Red cameras, Epic Dragon, Raven, ScarlettW and Weapon have over 17 stops of dynamic range. It is a raw camera from the ground up. I am surprised it was not used in the test.
Additionally, I am a bit bored with lab tests because a good filmmaker will play to his/her camera strength and pull some amazing footage regardless.
The best thing for us is to go out there and push the x5r to make it sing. However, 13 stops is nothing to sneeze at.
