I'm in the process of buying a Phantom 4. I plan to use it with an iPad Mini.

What's the shortest lightning cable I can use?

I use a 19" cable, 12" would be the minimum  though.

If it helps I am using a 1 foot cable for my andriod. No problems at all.  

I just got a 6" and it's too short.  I took the regular IPad cable and wrapped it along the edges of the stand and and then looped it through the left side until just long enough to reach the plug.   Works fines.

I'm using this one with my P3A and an Ipad Pro 9,7... should be fine with P4 too
