What’s New:

1. Updated the Flight Restriction Zone database.

2. Fixed the Intelligent Flight Battery to prevent automatic restarting in cold environments.

Notes:

Users are advised to update all Intelligent Flight Batteries with this All-in-One firmware.

Is this all the changes...or are there hidden features added/removed. I would like (for once) to see a comprehensive list of changes, and not be surprised.

If it works for you, then fly it. Updates are only 'suggestions'. I am still on 1.4.6 and have no desire to 'upgrade' the FW.

And can we expect an update for the standard soon?

they just did just one a bit ago, mine updated yesterday and now my dji app doesnt work, so Im grounded till i get this resolved.

Which is the latest for the standard then?

If you do not update, the aircraft will still fly just fine.
For this update there is a battery firmware for cold weather operation.
So if you are not in the extreme cold then you are ok to fly but DJI recommends being on the latest firmware.

With the 2.8.3 DJI GO app I won't be able to unlock NFZ with the DJI GEO System, rig ...

I believe things are being moved around as yesterday I did not see class B airports in red NFZ's as they were yellow and unlockable. Today I see class B airports as red NFZ's.
Hopefully by next week everything should be sorted out.

I found it. When selecting other languages than English the web isn't still updated. Changing to english the link is there!

Did all of my current updates early this morning. But speaking of Cold environment? Oh please no, not for several more long months I hope...
We are just about ready to be enjoying our glorious warm sunny summer in Alberta. And that's the only season to be concentrating on.

I keep having to update the remote it says current version unknown  it completes and then reboots and says firmware update remote controller, do it again and same thing happens. i've rebooted drone, controller and ipad.

anyone else?

Followed the video instructions and unplugged the usb cable and no blinking lights.  Checked the sd card and no file with the status of the upgrade.

Rebooted the aircraft twice.  Checked the sd card and no file with the status of the upgrade.

Any other ways to initiate the upgrade from the sd card?

Hi  just upgraded my p3p to version 1.9.60 app 2.8.3 ios, all connects fine and flight stimulator works fine but there is no update for the remote, should the remote stay on version 1.60? thanks hawk.

Is there gonna be any kind of update for the standard soon regarding all the range issues people are having? Holding out on sending mine back to DJI incase a simple update fixes it..

Format the SD card, download the Zip file from the correct DJI webpage (Pro or Advanced)
Extract the BIN file from the Zip file and copy it to the formatted SD card.
Put the SD card into the aircraft and have the RC turned OFF and power up the aircraft. The update process can take up to 25 minutes. It will make 4 beeps while updating. When is completed it will make 3 beeps.
After that, put the SD card into your computer and look at the results TXT file to see if it was successful.
If you have more than one battery, put the SD card back in the aircraft and repeat the process with each battery.

What issues are you having, can you please explain in detail.
What device are you using, is it on the DJI recommended list, have you ruled out the USB cable or port?

yeah bro.. same here with short range issues after 1.6.8 and waiting for a new firmware

Just updated new firmware to my Advance and the SD card reads successful in updating to 1.9.6 but the DJI App states that I still have the 1.8.8 version.  I am using a Ipad mini 2 and my app is at 2.8.3.  Why does my DJI App disagree with my Quad??

Wow, A bit gun shy on this NFZ wording. Think I'll wait a bit.

Sorry got to ask why , Im still somewhat new to all this but I just updated to 1.8 and now there is a new update? Its probably normal to have to update firmware 2-3 times a year but we only had a week or 2 between update's seams to be a lot.

Yes updates come thick and fast around here. It is quite normal.

This was more like 1.5 month or so....
With hesitation, but thx to DJI for another update. Let's hope this baby fixes some things that were "suspect".... Looking forward to looking into it.
Did you guys re-enable rollback on the drone, P3A? Just in case?
Oh wait.. maybe I'll just read the previous 42 comments first ;)
