Hello.... Newbie here!

Is the anyway to take pics with the Phantom 3 Standard that has the screen info on them? Like altitude, location..etc?

If you are using an iPad / iPhone you can capture an image of the screen by simultaneously pressing the Return and On/Off buttons.

There may be a setting in the menu or tools section of the camera controls (right-edge of Camera Page) that will include data with video. On my system, it created a separate file for each video as I recall.

I recall additional files were stored in a sub-folder of the hidden MISC folder on the microSD card when the setting is ON.

My UAV system is put away so I can't provide more information at this time.

Not sure if this is what you may be referring to.
In the Go app camera settings menu, click the Wrench and second item is Video Caption.
Turn that On, make a short video, and play it back, to see...
Then take a pic and check to see if this same info is included for still images.
Otherwise, a video pic, still is your best friend... Ha

Hello mrducks, currently information such as GPS location or height could not be shown on the pics. But there is a video caption option in camera setting. Enable this option and you'll see the information script on the video.

When I enable the Video Caption feature on Phantom 3 4K, and take some videos, a file with the extension SRT is created that corresponds to each video taken. The SRT files are in the same directory as the MP4 file.

I've viewed this caption data on a video player enabled for SubRip Text captions.

On the Phantom 3 4K, each SRT file is a text file that contains record entries at 1 second intervals showing:

• time from start of video
• Home Point GPS
• localized date & time
• GPS (presumably of aircraft)
• Barometer value (what units?)
• ISO
• Shutter (speed?)
• EV
• Fnum value

I have not tried this with other video settings (format, resolution, frame rate, etc.) so your results may vary, or not.

An SRT file is not created for still photos.

If you take a still picture from the video, is the information also shown on the pic?
