Trouble after Firmware update

I updated the firmware this evening and after it finished, I turned off the Inspire turned on the remote, started the Inspire and the mobile app.  I got the following message in Over All Status:"Main controler connection to center board failed."  

The Inspire keeps beeping and doesn't stop.  It is a continous single beep.  

What the heck has gone wrong??

First check your text on the SD card and make sure it shows success at the bottom. Try turning everything off, turn on the AC first then the RC and see if it connects, if not try a manual link of the RC and AC.

For clarification, what firmware version did you attempt to update to? Are you able to check the About page to confirm what firmware version you are currently on? Had you received a successful text message after the update? As sdl56 suggested, have you attempted to power cycle all the components and relink the RC to the aircraft?

Michael hope this ends up well , more detail I'm  anxious to know your steps in order before I update and  to  hopefully have everyone benefit from your experience glad this did not happen in flight!

I had done all of the above suggestions.  Still the Inspire just sits there and beeps and the remote continues to say "Main controller connection to center board failed."

I need my inspire working any suggestions?
I talked with DJI Support and they told me to try to reinstall 1.8 firmware and then try to reinstall 1.9.  I did the 1.8 with no luck it still beeps and won't connect to the RC.

The update was successful according to the text file on teh memory card.

Now I am getting the following messages in the DJI Go App

Main Controller Connection to Center Board Failed.

Gimbal cannot receive Main Controller Data.

Check the 8-pin plug that connects the damping place and the aircraft .  Ensure that none of the pins are loose.   In the problem persists, contact DJI Support.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mike, be sure to Calibrate the IMU and camera Gimbale .  I think this may solve your dilemma.

I posted to you also on another thread.   I think the symptoms may be the same but it is just a calibration problem and nothing to do with the 8 pin harness.  


You may ned to re load 1.9 as well if it did not take.  Just wait out the beeping .  I have another mameber e mail me with a similar challenge.   Said it took about 20 minutes .  then the tone changed.  Be sure to check the log at the end for success .

1- so calibrate the aircraft first.  IMU and Gimbal  ( If you can ) If 1.9 did not load ( see if the Pop up warning goes away )  


2- Then re load 1.9 again. be sure to re format the SD card and get a clean install of 1.9. Make sure from the proper page


3- wait out the beeping if you must, the tone should change.


4 - I would then re cal the IMU and Gimbal again


5 to do all the ateps above about 40 minutes, so good luck.

Michael, can you enable view hidden files and go to MISC/Log and show us the hidden txt file.  That will tell us what is going on in the update.

I have just had the exact same problem.

Desperatly i search the almighty internet, and tried a couple off solutions.

The one that worked is very simple indeed.

I started up the bird, and the bird responded with that loud warning sound. I left the bird turned on and "Screaming", and took the dog for a walk.
When i returned, the bird was beeping with the normal sound, of a succesfull upgrade. I removed the SDcard and formated it, returned it to the bird, and switched it on.

Everything is fine now !!! ;)

So solution must be, leave the bird turned on, and the sound warning sound will end.

In the future you may wish to also check for the "success " On the 'SD card after an Update , this way you can double check the  updates success.

I had this problem updating to WM610_FW_V01.11.01.50. I also let it sit for about 10 minutes with a loud single alarm sounding. It finally stopped and starting updating correctly.
